10.18.12 – The League of American Bicyclists designated Rock Hill as a Bicycle Friendly Community at the Bronze level today, raising South Carolina’s total of BFCs to six. The five other SC communities having achieved this distinction are: Hilton Head (Silver), Charleston (Bronze), Columbia (Bronze), Greenville (Bronze), and Spartanburg (Bronze). Congratulations to everyone in Rock Hill for making biking in their community safe and enjoyable.
10.14.12 – On an absolutely gorgeous fall afternoon this Sunday, Columbians were treated to a collection of entertaining bands at the Jam Room Music Festival on Main Street. In addition to the great music and incredible performances, there were also a number of scheduled bike rides which brought folks to the festival from spots outside the downtown area. Summit Cycles of Columbia gets a special thanks for providing free valet service to those who rode a bicycle to the event. Here’s a shot of some envy-inducing rides from the valet rack.
